14:2 He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. ¹  His mother ²  was Jehoaddan, who was from Jerusalem.

15:2 He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for fifty-two years in Jerusalem. ³  His mother’s name was Jecholiah, who was from Jerusalem.

21:13 I will destroy Jerusalem the same way I did Samaria ⁴  and the dynasty of Ahab. ⁵  I will wipe Jerusalem clean, just as one wipes a plate on both sides. ⁶

Jehoiachin’s Reign over Judah

24:8 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. ⁷  His mother ⁸  was Nehushta the daughter of Elnathan, from Jerusalem.

But here they are used ironically as metaphors of judgment, emphasizing that he will give careful attention to the task of judgment.
